{"id":15451,"date":"2026-07-08T11:26:03","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T15:26:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cdlinc.ca\/?page_id=15451"},"modified":"2026-07-08T11:26:04","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T15:26:04","slug":"maple-syrup-and-garlic-glazed-pork-meatballs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.cdlinc.ca\/en\/maple-syrup-and-garlic-glazed-pork-meatballs\/","title":{"rendered":"Maple Syrup and Garlic Glazed Pork Meatballs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A recipe by Bob Le Chef<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preparation time:<\/strong> 30 minutes<br><strong>Cooking time: <\/strong>30 minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients for 18 meatballs:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>500 g, a little over 1 lb, ground pork<br>125 ml, \u00bd cup, breadcrumbs<br>60 ml, \u00bc cup, maple sugar<br>5 ml, 1 tsp, mustard powder<br>5 ml, 1 tsp, chili powder<br>5 ml, 1 tsp, smoked paprika<br>5 ml, 1 tsp, garlic powder<br>5 ml, 1 tsp, dehydrated onions<br>1 egg<br>Salt and pepper, to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the sauce:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>15 ml, 1 tbsp, butter<br>2 garlic cloves<br>15 ml, 1 tbsp, soy sauce<br>125 ml, \u00bd cup, ketchup<br>80 ml, \u2153 cup, maple syrup<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method for the meatballs:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a bowl, mix the ground pork with all the ingredients and shape into meatballs slightly smaller than a golf ball. You should get about 18 meatballs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated 400\u00b0F oven for 20 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method for the sauce:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter with the garlic and saut\u00e9 until the garlic begins to colour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the soy sauce, ketchup, and maple syrup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and let simmer for about 10 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the meatballs are cooked, dip them one by one into the sauce, place them back on the baking sheet, and return them to the oven at 400\u00b0F for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Serve immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Note:<\/summary>\n<p>This recipe also works very well on the BBQ.
